Developers use our APIs to create tools, like customer service support, or apps to better understand public conversations. We found and fixed a bug that affected less than 1% of people on Twitter in an API that may have shared certain account interactions.
We haven’t found an instance where data was sent to the incorrect party. But we can’t conclusively confirm it didn’t happen, so we’re telling potentially impacted people about the bug. If you were potentially involved, we’ll contact you today. We’re sorry that this happened.

For those who received notifications today, this only involves potential interactions or Direct Messages you have have had with companies using Twitter for things like customer service. Your other DMs are not involved at all.

There have been questions and concerns about accounts being locked because of age restrictions. We wanted to let you know what happened here, and what we’re doing about it. 1/6
We recently made product changes tied to new privacy laws (GDPR) and became aware of accounts that were set up by people when they were younger than 13. We didn’t expect this. 2/6
These accounts were automatically locked, and we created additional confusion by sending messages to people saying that they’re still under 13 (when many are now older) and need to close their accounts. 3/6

- Always read what you write and imagine someone close to you reading it. See to it that you aren’t ashamed of what you post.
- Don’t jump into the scuffle of people who look at you as they’d look at mosquitoes
- Be a good person. Don’t work hard to prove yourself to be a good person.

- if those who don’t agree with you don’t like you, that is totally logical. Your mission isn’t to be liked by everyone. Not in life, not on SM.

- everything in life needs a ‘Why’. True about SM as well
-SM isn’t about any other ism except individualism.
- Be a leader. If you don’t have any followers, lead yourself into excellence.
- Be polite, be firm and be kind.
- Help and support those who need and want it.
- Don’t get into unequal relationship
- SM is about equity

1) This article points toward President Trump's 32 point plan to reform and streamline our government agencies.
2) The plan is a work of art. I have been in the business world for many years and this is a succession plan on steroids. This plan will do MANY things, both seen and unseen, but will streamline our government from being a bureaucratic cesspool, to being a well oiled machine!
