We’re giving you the power to choose which Tweets you see in your timeline: you can now quickly switch between the best ones for you or stay up to date on the latest conversations on Twitter. Launching this week on iOS, tap the sparkle icon ✨ to see only the most recent Tweets.

After hearing feedback, we updated the “Show the best Tweets first” settings so if turned off, you’d only see Tweets from accounts you follow in reverse chronological order. Before, you’d also see “In case you missed it” and recommended Tweets.

Now by tapping the icon, you’ll see only the most recent Tweets. If you’ve been away a while, you’ll go back to home, or top Tweets, to help catch up. If you keep tapping the sparkle icon ✨ when you open Twitter, you’ll stay on the latest for longer.

We’re always looking for the right balance between the newest Tweets and the best Tweets. With this latest update, it’s even faster to decide what you want on your timeline and see breaking news, live events, and be part of the conversation.

Twitter wants to bring you the best Tweets, but we know sometimes you just want the latest. With this easier access, we’ll be getting rid of “Show the best Tweets first” and keep working on more ways to make it easier to see what’s important to you.
