RR really thought the 25th Amendment could take down @realDonaldTrump?

The 25th Amendment has 3 ways of replacing a President (serving until end of his term or impeachment are dealt with elsewhere of course)

1. Death/resignation

2. President declares himself unfit

3. Majority of Cabinet declares him unfit

Only (3) would apply in the RR case

In addition to requiring a majority of the cabinet to invoke the 25th, RR would know it has a MAJOR FLAW

IT IS ONLY TEMPORARY if the President insists on remaining in office!

The president can reverse it by writing a letter to Congress

And if Congress wants to override the President resuming his office after that letter, it need a 66% (2/3) vote of BOTH the House & the Senate

Otherwise he resumes being President

Who seriously thinks #MAGA supporters would allow their reps and senators to vote to remove Trump?

RR would know this. He carries round a copy of the Constitution in his suit jacket & knows it cover to cover

It's a dumb plan that can't work legally or politically, absent an incredibly compelling reason why Trump is "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office"

Oh and RR was planning this coup almost immediately into the job of Deputy Attorney General, after precipitating "chaos" by writing a memo justifying firing @Comey?

That memo was right then and is still right today

You know who would think the 25th amendment is a good idea though?

Someone who hates Trump & hated the fact their mentor got fired (who hasn't memorized the Constitution)

Maybe such a person is being investigated by the RR DOJ right now?

Someone who leaks/lies to the media?

Does anyone fits that description?
