This is very important to understand as our "truth telling" media once again does its best to confuse the issue and hide a truth that devastates the Democrats. It is absolutely, objectively, demonstrably true that Republicans did EVERYTHING RIGHT here. Dems created all the chaos.
Every step of the way, from the moment Kavanaugh was nominated through yesterday, Senate Republicans did everything by the book. They respected the rules. They were MORE than fair. And every step of the way, Democrats cheated and lied.
This whole thing started because Feinstein and her crew sat on the Ford allegation until after the confirmation process was over so they could stage a late hit. This is INDISPUTABLE. It's objective reality. Media doesn't badger Dems about it because they have no answer.
GOP indulged Dems and investigated, swiftly and with great energy. Dems refused to help because they wanted to scream about a mythological FBI investigation - something they KNEW was outside the rules and the law. At that point their game was delay, delay, delay.
The GOP scheduled a hearing, moved the deadline around a few times, and then scheduled it for last Thursday. Dems lied - as we learned from the oh-so-"credible" Ford yesterday - and made up excuses for why she couldn't attend.
GOP offered to send people out to Ford at her convenience. What did she tell us yesterday? The sleazy Democrat activists serving as her "legal team" deliberately withheld the offer from her. If she's telling the truth about that, it's an incredible indictment of Dem politics.
The system is not "broken," and if it's "ruptured," that's only because Democrats stuck a knife in it. There are reasonable rules for SCOTUS confirmations and the GOP followed them to the letter, and then some - their only went off the books to graciously indulge the Democrats.
That's true of Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing as well. GOP did everything right. Dems turned the hearing into a despicable circus, blatantly abusing their privileges to pack the halls with screaming activists and unleash pandemonium.
You want a "ruptured" system, CNN? I give you Cory Booker and his idiotic "Spartacus moment" - in which he proudly declared he was violating the rules, even though it turned out he wasn't. GOP did NOTHING remotely comparable to these Democrat antics.
Spare us your foolish attempts to cover for the Democrat party and open your eyes, media. There is no broken system, no structural flaw. GOP nominated a well-qualified Supreme Court justice and played by the rules at every turn. Dems demanded we abandon all our legal principles.
The last Democrat effort to salvage something from this debacle will be the attempt to convince Americans everything went to hell after Trump was elected. No, DEMOCRATS went to hell, and they're trying to drag the rest of us there. Mob actions, violence, chaos - it's all THEM.
Waves of fake hate crime reports have been filed to make the Right look bad while the Left really IS attacking people in the streets, in restaurants, on baseball fields. The Kavanaugh debacle is another manifestation of that strategy to sow chaos and then complain about it.
It's time for decent Americans to rally against this assault on our system. The Kavanaugh hearing is an event that has galvanized many over their disgust with Democrat tactics. In two months, you get a chance to make them pay a price. You get a chance to restore sanity.
No, we're not going to give up the presumption of innocence, or the rule of law, or free speech, or the Second Amendment, or the Electoral College, or any of the other things Democrats demand we sacrifice to them. Say it loud in the only language they understand. /end
