THREAD: Since I published a secret recording last week of the Bergen County Sheriff going on a racist rant I've fielded several tips about shocking remarks made by public officials in Bergen County, NJ. In this thread I'll highlight two that recently aired in public meetings.1/7
"I'd like to kill her, but I can't do that. I look at the 'Shawshank Redemption' and say, 'Hmmm.'" - Englewood Cliffs Police Chief Michael Cioffi on Englewood Cliffs Council President Carrol McMorrow. 2/7

"Maybe that kid deserved to get the crap beat out of him, because you don’t know. I’m just keeping it real. Because you know some people do need a beat down."-Teaneck School Board Pres. Ardie Walser at a public meeting after a fight sent a freshman to hospital with concussion.4/7
Remarks were made at a Sept. meeting at end of discussion about arming school cops & bringing kids involved in fights to police station. Despite the weighty topic & concussed freshman, there was much laughter at the meeting. Full "beat down" comment attached. Link follows. 5/7
"Beat down" remark from Teaneck school board president starts at 51:45. He also talks about how he hit his own children, without regrets. He added: "If they need a behind whipping, that’s what they need, but it has to be done I think thoughtfully." 6/7

An Albanian woman is on tarmac at Newark Airport right now on verge of deportation. She was detained in April after she allegedly interfered with officials as they deported her husband. Her son remains in detention in N.J. Her 10-year-old daughter, a U.S. citizen, now parentless.
Here's the back story on her arrest that led to her deportation. (northjersey.com/story/news/new…) She said she was just trying to hug her husband goodbye. They had lived here 17 years. After he was deported back to Albania, he said he was beaten by armed men. He's a Christian minority.

We are always so quick to point at the government and politicians, to tag them as corrupt, when we, the people are corruption defined.

Babcock University is a good tertiary institution with regards to academics, but I'm afraid, I can't say same for their administration and
management.

I have a sister, who's a 400 level law student there. About 2 or 3 sessions ago, a few days to resumption, the school increased their fees almost triple times the normal fees, without prior notice. Okay that passed (it's one of those things, yeah).

Last week I highlighted key energy modelling results for 2030 in the @EU_Commission's new EU 'Long Term Strategy' and did a deep dive on Buildings. Today I want to take a closer look at the Industry Sector. 1/
While energy industries (incl. power) and buildings have each seen emissions reductions of roughly -25% between 1990 and 2015, industrial energy-related emissions decreased significantly more in relative terms (-42%), at least until flattening out at around 2012. 2/
Important factors include 1) energy efficiency improvements, 2) fuel switching to biomass, 3) closure of capacity and structural shifts, and 4) deep reductions of non-CO2 GHG emissions. Energy intensity across all industrial sectors together declined by nearly 40%. 3/

Je veux juste vous donner les billes pour assimiler les différences majeures, et leurs implications. Pas de génération IV au programme, du coup, et même assez peu de Gen I. Et pas de concepts bizarres de laboratoire (Masurca, Harmonie, je ne vous oublie pas).
