Some people will tell you Christine Blasey Ford must be telling the truth because she risked everything to come forward. Well so did her ex.
If you dated someone for 6 years and they never told you about an assault they claim affected their life, a fear of flying, a fear of tight spaces, and you watched them lie on national TV, you might be prompted to go public and correct the record yourself.

Kudos to Ford’s ex!
I know I personally wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I knew Christine Blasey Ford was lying, in her attempt to ruin a man’s life, and didn’t tell someone.

I’m pretty sure that’s why her ex came forward.

Can we stick to criticizing the horrendous policy proposals Ocasio-Cortez makes instead of focusing on an irrelevant video she made in college?

I don’t understand how a random clip of @AOC dancing helps all of the poor and homeless Bronx residents she continues to ignore.
.@AOC spent her first day in Congress:
—pretending she was en route to a non-existent voting session
—supporting corrupt, establishment-hack Nancy Pelosi for Speaker
—pushing policies that don’t consider the actual constituents she was elected to represent
—being more of the same
If you want to effectively criticize politicians like @AOC, point out how unintelligent & ineffective their policy ideas are. Why focus on the dancing skills of Ocasio-Cortez in college when she can’t even tell @jaketapper how she would factor the cost of a Medicare-For-All plan?

At #SAS2018 earlier, I was introduced to @kenziehaddix, an Emporia State University student. She told me about her schoolmate, Michaela Todd, who is currently fighting to keep her position as student body VP because she said “illegal aliens.”

Emporia State’s student body sought to impeach VP Michaela Todd for saying “illegal aliens.” They got backlash from donors & began to backtrack— until she went on Fox News. Now they’re so upset one made this art project attacking Todd. Her grade was 100%.

She explains her situation to Fox.

Her school then approves of an art project inaccurately depicting her as “racist.”

Did @emporiastate forget the term “illegal aliens” has been normalized for decades?

I’m going to say it. “I don’t believe #ChristineBlaseyFord”.

She doesn’t come off as credible or genuine in her testimony, it looks like she’s acting or is manufacturing emotions, while describing the assault.

Everyone she claimed as a witness, can’t corroborate her story
They have either said that they don’t remember or that it never happened.

She has claimed she has a fear of flying, but travels by airplane for vacations and work, but couldn’t fly to testify?

She also claimed that no one offered to come to her. We know this is a lie.
Republicans offered to fly out to her and have a closed interview, her and her lawyers refused.

Her emotions while testifying were all over the place.

Talking about alleged sexual assault: Weeping, head down, voice crackling.

Any other time during questioning : Having fun.

Here's why I believe Christine Blasey Ford.

1) Every woman to whom I have been close has reported similar highschool experiences.
2) Kavanaugh's testimony of at least 20 years of aggressive behavior linked to binge drinking.
3) The consequences for coming forward for Ford have been horrific, the rewards zero. The most likely reason to do this are because she's telling the truth.
4) People do make false accusations of sexual assault, but very rarely, and the people who do so fall into particular kinds of types. Ford fits none of those types.

People are predictably questioning Christine Blasey Ford's credibility for "only now" publicly disclosing that Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her years ago.

There are a host of reasons why victims stay quiet.
I know this from personal experience. I waited 7yrs before I spoke a word about my rape, which happened when I was 15. I knew my rapist well & struggled to come to terms with what he had done to me. 2/
I was also terrified it would happen again, leading me to completely shut down emotionally. And I couldn't bear the thought of my parents knowing; I didn't want to break their hearts the way mine had been. 3/
