Schurink is conflating the 2016 CFA EBA as proposed by the Fair Work Commission with the 2017 fire service reforms. The reforms *remove* UFU members from the CFA. There will be *no* EBA and therefore *no* influence on CFA decisions, let alone "veto" or "control". 2/
That is a desperate attempt to recycle the 2016 "Hands Off the CFA" anti-EBA federal election campaign, turning it bizarrely on a reform that is *the complete opposite* of a union takeover of the CFA. Such a brazen, deliberate attempt to mislead voters is an absolute disgrace. 3/

Should not have to point out why its irresponsible to traffic in conspiracy theories, but there seems to be some confusion about this, so here we go. 1/
To treat every possibility as equally worthy of attention is to present them as equally plausible realities. They are not, and doing so legitimates a worldview where the conspiratorial outcome is used by motivated reasoners to defend actions they cannot otherwise defend. 2/
In a rational political world, people who trafficked in lies would face some sort of penalty, and citizens would update their beliefs once conspiracies were debunked. That is not the world we live in. 3/

1. I've seen a lot of dumb Brexit commentary today from people who should know better. Simple point of fact is that a partial single market is not going to happen. #Brexit thread...
2. The EU is a trade superpower and it will do what it can to stay that way. It is not going to agree to anything that gives the UK a competitive advantage. The EU is all about a balance of obligation - using soft power to promote its own standards and values.
3. That, like it or not, is how it is. It can bend the rules to meet its political obligation to Ireland as a member state but that is as far as it can bend. We would play it the same way were the tables turned. The NI backstop is a freak of legal engineering & they won't expand

Marriage is too important a decision to be left in the hands of your emotions.

I feel like this is something that needs to be talked about more. Just because you're in love with someone does not make them an appropriate partner for you. We all need to be more astute/discerning.
I'm not saying being in love with your partner isn't important. Of course it is, but that only matters if you actually love the person. Do you KNOW them and then love them? Do you care about their person, their eccentricities, their hopes, dreams, future and are you kind to them.
The second and often overlooked is that choosing a partner should consider other things like does the person improve or diminish my quality of life? Is this person emotionally capable/equipped to be a partner? Do they increase my chances of attaining my goals? These are valid Qs.
