Liberal for Monbulk John Schurink is blatantly lying to voters on Facebook. As a former member of the CFA Board, Schurink would certainly know the claims he is making are false & misleading. I'll pick out some examples in this thread. 1/ #springst #vicvotes @rwillingham 
Schurink is conflating the 2016 CFA EBA as proposed by the Fair Work Commission with the 2017 fire service reforms. The reforms *remove* UFU members from the CFA. There will be *no* EBA and therefore *no* influence on CFA decisions, let alone "veto" or "control". 2/
That is a desperate attempt to recycle the 2016 "Hands Off the CFA" anti-EBA federal election campaign, turning it bizarrely on a reform that is *the complete opposite* of a union takeover of the CFA. Such a brazen, deliberate attempt to mislead voters is an absolute disgrace. 3/
Secondly, Schurink *lies* about the Good Friday pairing scandal. There was no "chance" about it! Those Labor members were absent as the result of a calculated act of deception on the part of Finn, Ondarchie, Guy and Walsh. The latter two owned that and said they were proud! 4/
Thirdly, Schurink *lies* about the dress of UFU members on polling day in 2014. As he would know, we wore T-shirts with large UFU logos on them and "NAPTHINE SLASHES YOU BURN" on the back, and overpants that are not a colour used by any fire service in Victoria. 5/
Fourth - and yes Schurink is joined by the entire media on this lie - Schurink lies about the EBA and/or reform being a gift on a "silver platter" to the UFU. The EBA was determined by the Fair Work Commission, not Andrews. The reform was strongly supported by anti-UFU types. 6/
Fifth, not a lie but a dog act. Schurink sets out to diminish the role of CFA's busiest, most stringently selected and most highly trained firefighters, who because of urban growth now attend over two thirds of CFA calls despite only being a few percent of the workforce. 7/
That just goes to show the deeply derogatory anti-professional attitude prevalent in some quarters of the CFA, including, prior to Andrews' intervention, the Board. That kind of deep disregard is why the CFA is broken and career firefighters need to be evacuated from it. 8/
All in all a calculated attempt to deceive people into voting for him. If this man gets into Parliament he will be a disgrace to that institution. This is just one comment I've picked. His Facebook is loaded with material like this. Calculated deception. Voters need to know. 9/9
