@jennycohn1 nothing about the voting machines specifically - but that they let certain candidates know, those candidates then pulled back their efforts, and... some other manipulation that you can follow along with here:

@jennycohn1 But, essentially, the data was hacked sometime between Oct 26, 2015 and December 2015.

We've seen Arizona indies flirt with the idea of voting for Democratic candidates statewide, only to swing back in the final stretch. Sinema needs a huge margin. It would be the first time since 2008, when Obama won them by just 51 to 46. He went on to lose them to Mitt Romney.
Obama went on to lose AZ indies to Romney by nearly the same margin he had previously carried them against McCain, 51% to 45%. Trump carried indies in AZ, 47% to 44%. Flake won them by just 46% to 45%.
But for Sinema to overcome that early vote lead, considering what vote is left on the table, she would need a historic margin no Democrat has received among indies AND a monster turnout that favors Democrats. Judging by the data, there's no such evidence she'll get it.

I was taught a sanitized version of American wildlife management/conservation. it's only through self-study/listening that I learned any of this. By not acknowledging the violence that occurred in the US w/ regards to wildlife/resources we do our students a disservice #bloodparks
look at the news for a week & you hear plenty of news about how there's a biodiversity crisis. we're losing species at a v high rate. we're in the sixth mass extinction.

we blame proximate causes..."poaching", recent deforestation, but that's not where it started. #bloodparks

Three weeks to election day. Let's talk about volunteering. (Thread.)
Giving money is good and important, but the closer we get to election day, the less useful donating is, for a whole bunch of reasons. What campaigns need most in these final days is your time.
There's lots of stuff you can do remotely if you're not near a swing district—writing postcards, phonebanking, texting—and that stuff all helps. But if you can get out and knock on doors, that's even better.

Anyone that uses Facebook has probably given permission to an app at some stage. Maybe you use FB to sign into other sites, or you wanted to see some future predictions for fun. That's grand, but they retain access to your data even after you stop using them. Here's how to review
First go to your drop down menu & click Settings. Then click Apps. Review these carefully. For e.g. I use Kickstarter and 9gag frequently so those are grand, but see the ones like Klout and Giveaway widget? I'll want to remove permissions for those, even if only I can see posts.

Some things in the first year were fun: meeting like-minded people, the #scifi characters, learning how to take effective action. Celebrating #victories like beating the #ACA repeal bills.

A lot of it wasn't fun - the threats of nuclear war, the daily stress of bad news. 2
Follow parties were fun, and a good way to promote a message and raise awareness, connect with other resistors and grow our followings. They had themes and served a purpose and there was about about one a month.  3 #PartyWithAPurpose #trending #amplify #effective
