Question 12: The olympic committee have great standards on access of trans people to sport.
QUESTION 12: NO whilst it may help trans people feel able to access sport it will not actually change the ability of trans people without medical interventions being able to access competitive sport, there are already strict regulations on this which won't be affected.
QUESTION 13: NO. I am going to TOWN on this one. Access to single sex services is governed by the equality act and not the GRC so there will be no impact. Women are not currently asked to bring a birth certificate to refuges so this has no impact at all.
Question 13: Trans women are not a threat to cisgender women in single sex services! Violence between women including sexual violence occurs, perpetrated by cis + trans women. Single sex services cannot prevent that, BUT trans women are not more dangerous than cis.
Question 14: NO again this is governed by the equality act NOT by the GRA.
Question 15: NO again governed by the equality act not the GRA. Trans people are already using same sex dorms in hostels, shelters etc with no problems.
QUESTION 16: NO, I'm finding it difficult to engage with this question because of my beliefs on the armed forces.
QUESTION 17: NO but I mean this is a disgusting exemption, gender or sexuality should never stop anyone being able to marry.
QUESTION 18: NO it would actually be in contravention of human rights legislation to discriminate in this way, see women driving insurance!
Are you bored yet? I'm bored but PLUG ON THROUGH. Trans people matter so getting through this dull bit is important.
QUESTION 19: NO beyond the social implications of recognising trans people and particularly nonbinary people which would be great!
QUESTION 20: YES YES YES YES recognising nonbinary people is one of the most important impacts this consultation could have.
Question 20: According the LGBT national survey half of trans people are nonbinary so recognising them is super important. Also what about immigrants from countries e.g. India which legally recognise NB people? We need to catch up our laws!
QUESTION 21: Mostly for intersexual people, so plug your rights if you're intersex. Looks like we can all have a go standing up for intersex people in section C though.
Question 21: Many intersex people identify outside of the binary and are not currently recognised, GRA not fit for purpose as medical intervention not necessary for these people and recognition of intersex identities should never be tied to medical intervention.
QUESTION 22: Any other business?! YES I HAVE AOB. Here I'm writing to support age of accessing GRA being lowered to 16 because if you can join the army you can know your gender and writing about scrapping the gender recognition register because it's stopping trans folk applying.
QUESTION 22: I'm also asking for the UNTIL DEATH bollocks to be removed. It should be OK for people to first identify as a trans woman and then change their understanding of themself and then identify as nonbinary. Just as you can change your last name!
I HAVE FINISHED! Woohooo. Well done to everyone who has completed, it was long but remember there are plenty of resources there to help you. You do not have to complete it all by yourself.
