I understand the political/practical reasons you would hold onto these fallacies on a superficial level publicly. But to decide to go full bore w/ it in the mentions of those who obvs. know better?

Every reasonable conservative I know has stopped defending his legitimacy.

You're defending the legitimacy of a man whose entire inner circle has been provably connected to Russia, white supremacy, or both.

In 2014, on Fox, Trump bragged of his relationship w/ Vladimir Putin & told Americans that VP was going to help him w/ something in 2016.

It was going to be big and make Russia very happy.

Meanwhile, two years later, Trump denied that he or anyone from his family or campaign had any connection to or communication with Russia at all at any point jn the campaign.

Of course those lies fell by the wayside as each of the many revelations came to light.

Upto the point that Guiliani was forced to actually start arguing that even if collusion happened it isn't even illegal anyway.

It got that stupid.
