I'm going to address a couple points & then mute this comment thread.

If you don't think that @HillaryClinton or the people around her, many of whom were brilliant & socially conscious POC, didn't know of or understand the data you're referencing then you know nothing of HRC.

You certainly don't seem to recall the finer details of 2016 and, despite your claims to understand the particular pressures she was under, refuse to give those pressures their proper due.

In an election filled with fake news & populist hyperbole from the far right & left..

2/
...an election that was overwhelmed by such virulent misogyny it actually started to feel normal, where Clinton was mocked for being too prepared, and was lectured for being too wonky, and where she was already offering some pretty nuanced and in depth arguments on race...

3/
...that she should have, what? Doubled down and become more of all of those things?

People were not listening. The only audience that would have been receptive to this kind of messaging would've been a narrow subsection of the electorate who were already aware & converted.

4/
I mean seriously. She called out the white supremacist elements, the lies, the misogyny, the deference to Putin.

And she did it to his face. The onus here is on the voters who did not take responsibility for their own votes & the media who followed his pied piper routine.

5/
It is easy to play QB in hindsight, but that election has no historical parallel. Momentous forces aligned against western democracy and progress and, specifically, HER.

Clinton was heroic and dazzling to most anyone who was actually paying attention.

6/
Only one candidate, in one other election, @BarackObama in 2008 (she surpassed his 2012 total) received more votes than @HillaryClinton got in 2016. She won the popular by three million votes, she won every debate, she called him out constantly, and held her shit together.

7/
Her platform was the most progressive ever, and she got so little actual support from anywhere that it had to have been dispiriting.

And after everything we've seen go down in FL, GA, NC, and WI during midterms if you isring occurred in 2016 then you're crazy.

8/
Above should read "...if you don't think tampering occurred..."

What was done to America and to Clinton & the Democrats in 2016 would have been done to anyone we put forward as a candidate.

But, do keep carrying on w the illusion that it was something she did or didn't do.

9/
Our entire democracy experienced systemic failure in 2016. That she sustained so much damage and fought on should be celebrated.
