In the last midterm elections when "Democrats didn't vote" - huge humongous lumps of money were POURED INTO POPULATING FEDERAL AND STATE CONGRESSES WITH THE KIND OF REPRESENTATION THAT WOULD PASS THE REPUBLIC TAX SCAM CUTS WHICH HAVE PASSED IN 2018. THE KOCHS AND DeVOS FAMILY
WERE ALWAYS 'RIGHT UP FRONT' IN THE RUSH TO POUR THEIR MONEY (so much of it won by cheat-y business practices of Amay and Koch Industries) into BUYING THE KIND OF GOVERNMEN THEY WANTED. Following are some quotes from "Dark Money" about Mitch McConnell page 288:, beginning par 3

OH GOING BACKWARDS FOR A MINUTE: In one of @jennycohn1 's Threads she talks extensively about the 2004 election "won" by George W. Bush, who then nominated John Roberts to be Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of USA. JOHN ROBERTS was Chief Justice when CITIZENS UNITED PASSED.
I know "justice" Anthony Kennedy WROTE THE DECISION on Citiizens United. UM - yup - a short while ago I was reading in @LincolnsBible 's thread how Anthony Kennedy's father was a mob lawyer in CA - worked solely for Artie Samish. Interesting background A. Kennedy came from.
And I read that when young 'Tony Kennedy' graduated from law school and began the practice of law, he inherited a lot of STUFF from his father's "CLIENTS" when both Samish and his father passed out of this life. "STUFF?" His father's clients trusted him b/c he was "FAMILY"
And so, we find there are some nice, cozy relationships between quite a few people THRU WHOSE HANDS MUCH MONEY DOTH PASS. They are likely to know "all the 'tricks of the trade and then some.'
I wonder if John Robert's vote on CITIZENS UNITED was the 'deciding factor.' WHAT THE HELL ---- SPEECH IS MONEY??? Some people really RUPTURED SOME BRAIN CELLS COMING TO THAT US SUPREME-COURT DECISION, WHICH PAVED THE WAY TO DONALD TRUMP.
