As the trump administration continues to try and erase Transgender people out of existence, it is more important than ever for solidarity coming from cisgender people.
And Solidarity does not just mean voting in November. It means civil disobedience. It means the rejection of evangelical Christianity from society, which is a rot almost as pervasive as capitalism in this country. It means rejection of transphobes from public spaces.
It means no longer cooperating with law enforcement in the united states, which is a force that exists to serve the will of Donald Trump, and was already overwhelmingly transphobic and homophobic.
A broad solidarity movement is necessary, and must be built around protecting the most vulnerable in society, be they LGBTQ+, PoC, immigrant, differently abled, or any marginalized community. We must show up for al of them, and we must be ready now.
