1/ After reading the complaint against latest Russian national charged w/ meddling in US politics, I don't know who should be more embarrassed: the DOJ officials who wrote it or the journalists, pundits, & politicians taking it seriously: (justice.gov/usao-edva/pres…) 
2/ The defendant is accused of being the chief accountant for the clickbait Russian troll farm IRA's Project Lakhta, whose audience included the US. The complaint lays out her actions -- "meticulous record-keeping" 😱 -- w/o even explaining how that's criminal (understandable!):
3/ The apparent criminal conduct here is that Project Lakhta was a part of a Conspiracy against the US, fooling people w/ fake social media accounts and divisive messaging. Let's look at some highlights....
4/ OMG, one of the fake accounts offered to spend $80 dollars on a Facebook ad!
5/ The fake accounts shared some racist & juvenile ads on social media. One of them managed to get 104 comments. Would anyone except for those who made those 104 comments have been impacted by it otherwise?
6/ They also posted both pro- and anti-Trump messages on Twitter:
7/ Does anyone think that this "meddling" has a discernible impact on a single US voter? Compare it to voter suppression; billionaires' dark money; gerrymandering; etc -- all of which receive far less attention these days.
