But the reality is very simple: Do not get emotional. Articulate the goals you want to achieve, make sure they are deliverable, and pursue them to a credible timetable. Recognise your strengths and weaknesses.
Nationalism does not allow for any of that, because it is grounded in myth-making. It'll always, always fuck you. And ba-da-boom - here we are.
