Nina Edge (@nothingwelshstreets) is an artist & socially engaged activist, who's worked to preserve buildings from demolition in Liverpool.
(there have been documented cases of this occuring, see the case of rapist "Karen" White: theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/s…)
She also specifically said "trans friends are NOT predators".
"Also just been informed she is a temporary tutor at the art school of @LJMU"
"We are aware of the current discussions about a member of our staff and their comments in relation to transgender issues.... " ->
"These matters are being dealt with under our normal HR procedures, which are in place to support all students and staff at LJMU."
So it appears the trans activists may have cheered too soon. Or maybe not.
In the meantime, even if Nina Edge is not fired, it will have created a toxic teaching environment for her.
They say Nina's concern to keep sexual predators who FALSELY claim to be trans out of women's prisons is transphobic.
This shows that their concern is not for trans people, but for males, including rapists
It shows that this form of radical trans activism is essentially a male supremacy movement.
The issues at stake are taboo, discussion of them, such as called for by Nina Edge, is stifled at every turn. And so they, as many, are unaware of the stakes.
She successfully led a grassroots campaign for over a decade to save 300 houses in Liverpool from demolition by developers.
