In the past few days, Trump admitted why he lies. He lies for political & personal gain. Big surprise.

Trump is transactional. He believes you’re either winning or losing, and he’ll say anything to win, no matter who it hurts.

We have a word for that. EVIL. #BeAVoter
Trump’s admissions:
👉He calls the press the enemy of the people to rile up GOP voters. He doesn’t care about the danger it puts them in, because it helped him win the election. Irresponsible.

👉He admits that he lies, but tries to tell the truth when he can. When it’s politically expedient to him.

Translation: Trump only tells the truth when he can gain something out of it. If he gains more from telling a lie, he ALWAYS WILL.

It’s troubling how desensitized we’ve gotten to these brazen, dangerous lies. These statements were very sparsely reported.

This is what’s on the ballot on Tues. If we can’t trust our leaders with the most basic facts, then democracy is lost.

The GOP is complicit.

The Trump admin cut the advertising budget for the ACA by 90%.

FOIA obtained emails show this was knowingly designed to harm enrollment, and they repeatedly lied about that fact.

Dem House oversight puts an end to the sabotage. Remember what they did when they had the power.
On a call w/ reporters, in response to whether HHS had studied the efficacy of advertising, an official said, “We haven’t done a specific study related to the public awareness of the program.”

It was a lie. They had, & knew it would harm enrollment.

Now that Dems have won House oversight, she’s promoting enrollment. Oversight stops the sabotage.
