Wisconsin's government paid a Taiwanese company to create jobs in Wisconsin.

EACH of these jobs cost Wisconsin taxpayers between $220,000 and $1,000,000.

Why the heck would you do this instead of just having the government employ people directly?!

And this is a company that has so many suicides at its factories that the suicides have their own WIKIPEDIA PAGE!

And because Wisconsin ALREADY gives manufacturing companies a 0 tax rate, the taxpayer subsidies to Foxconn will be in the form of DIRECT CASH PAYMENTS.

This is insanity!!
If you're going to employ workers for more than the market value of what they produce, at least let the workers keep the money instead of mailing part of it to Taiwan!!
Anyone who thinks this kind of massive taxpayer cash giveaway to foreign companies is preferable to a Job Guarantee or Basic Income should probably have their head examined...
