Part of what @DavidAFrench points out here is that the same people who say: "You can;t vote for anyone in the same party as Donald Trump!" never bother to apply that logic to voting for someone in the same party as Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Maxine Waters, Keith Ellison etc.
If you say that voting for any Republican is somehow validating the behavior of Trump, then isn't voting for Democrats also validating their behavior and their policies? Including the deplorable behavior we saw during the Kavanaugh saga.
Dems could have shifted into a Party that represents moderation and decency in response to Trump. One that could actually appeal to those on the right that were turned off on Trump. Instead they chose to imitate his worst qualities w/ worse policies. Don't reward them for that.

Again, there is an easy test to differentiate between legitimate criticism of the Israeli government and antisemitism. It's called the 3 D test and was used by the state department until 2017: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_test_o…
The 3rd D stands for double standards. If you hold the only Jewish state to a completely different standard than almost every other country in the world, that clearly isn't about simply protesting Israel's policies.

That's why BDS is a transparently antisemitic effort.
If you want to boycott everything related to Israel, but have no similar requirements against Syria while Assad gasses women and children, China while they lock up thousands of Muslims in concentration camps, Palestinians while they support terror etc. then it's antisemitism.

2 issues: 1) Dual loyalty accusations are standard antisemitism. This is part of a long pattern from Tlaib of associating with (Ex: Linda Sarsour), defending (ex: MLH), and promoting antisemitism (Ex; BDS). Dems have a serious issue in their caucus, & media gives them a pass.
2) There are very legitimate criticisms of this bill (not what Tlaib engaged in here).

It's not as clear cut as some pretend. Unpopular speech is protected, but gov't can refuse to do business w companies that discriminate based on religion. BDS is an antisemitic movement.
thus there is a tough balancing act here between protecting the right to protest and allowing companies to circumvent rules against religious discrimination by masking them as anti-Israel. Courts can decide. I would honestly probably oppose the bill bc it can be read too broadly.

If you're going to use the standard of judging a whole group but the worst people who claim to be on the same side, then you better use that standard for both sides.

Otherwise you just look like a dishonest hack.
How many MSM journalists tweeted about AOC being called out for declaring that facts aren't important if you feel like you are morally right?

Now compare that to how many are now tweeting about Hoft posting some article attacking her for using a nickname in college.

In 1985, US department stores took 14.5% of all retail spend. Last year they took 4.3%. The figure is still falling. The internet is often blamed for this. But the blunt truth is that US department stores just aren’t very good retailers. In fact, most of them are abysmal.
The majority of mainstream stores are uninspiring places. Even in good malls, they are dispiriting and dismal. Investment is severely lacking. They are devoid of inspiration. There’s no reason for people to visit.
Retail basics are lacking. There’s no care. Standards are low. Is it any wonder market share had fallen off a cliff? Why should customers spend their hard earned cash here?

When we vote later this morning, we will not only be deciding whether to elevate a stunningly-qualified judge to our highest court. Not anymore. Not after all this. The United States Senate will also be making a statement.
We will either state that facts and evidence can be brushed aside when politically inconvenient, and signal that media bullying and mob intimidation are valid tactics - or we will stand up and say that serious, thoughtful, fact-based deliberation must still define this body.
We will either give notice that totally uncorroborated allegations are now, officially, enough to destroy an American’s life - or we will declare that our society cannot, must not, set the bar so low.

I'm one of a few million Americans awake when we should be sleeping because of the pain of #cancer or some other chronic illness.

Adding to our sleeplessness is knowing #healthcare is under threat. We may not be able to afford it due to the #GOP's actions.

It's terrorizing.
My parents were Civil Rights workers. My father was a Freedom Rider. As a small child I was taught the legacy of #MLK.
I watched people invoking MLK on Monday. Not in defense of #votingrights or in outrage over how the #SCOTUS ruled on two pivotal cases on gerrymandering.

MLK wasn't being invoked for #votingrights but for Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who lies to America every day about policies that could very well kill me & others.

Policies that are hurting millions.

Policies that have kept me a citizen without equal rights in my own country.
