So let’s take a moment and look down the line as to how this recount may play out.

There will be statewide recounts in races for Governor, Senator and Agriculture Commissioner.

The state requires all recounts - machine and manual - be done by November 18.

That’s not possible

So if Broward or Miami Dade or Broward can’t meet the November 18 deadline - state is threatening to go ahead and certify the election results anyway on November 20.

Who certifies the results you ask? The Cabinet- which includes Governor Scott.

Okay now it gets good. Because this is where the legions of lawyers come in.

Democrats will go to court and get a judge to order the state to allow the recount to continue past November 20 and make sure all the votes are counted.

But wait, there’s more.

That decision by the lower court judge will get appealed and eventually heard by the Florida Supreme Court. Currently there are four liberal justices on the court.

Three will retire in January and be replaced by the next Governor - who is still likely to be @RonDeSantisFL

DeSantis will appoint conservative justices.

But for now the court is liberal. Which means the last act of the three liberal justices on the Supreme Court will likely be to keep the recount going and possibly screw Rick Scott in the process.
