A federal judge in Georgia this morning ordered that approximately 323 absentee ballots in Gwinnett County that were not being counted b/c the envelope included the wrong birth year or no birth year be counted. documentcloud.org/documents/5096…
Note: The most relevant aspect of today's ruling in Georgia is that Carolyn Bourdeaux is running approximately 901 votes behind Rep. Rob Woodall.
FYI: The Woodall-Bourdeaux race in #GA07 is down to a 533-vote difference out out more than 280,000 cast.

It's a one-box Tuesday here at #SCOTUS, meaning one or two decisions in argued cases should be coming at 10a.
The first decision is Justice Kavanaugh's first majority opinion, in Henry Schein, Inc. v Archer & White Sales, Inc., vacating the 5th Circuit in an arbitration case. The decision was unanimous. #SCOTUS

The recount for Carolyn Bourdeaux, running for U.S. Congress GA-07 against incumbent Rob Woodall is set to start today at 10am.

Under state law, there is supposed to be a recount when the margin of victory is less than 1%.

Woodall—139,837
Bourdeaux—138,936
Total votes=278,773
As per the certified results filed Saturday, Woodall's margin is .14% or 419 votes.

Bourdeaux is asking that the recount take place in a "fair and transparent manner." For one thing, per #Georgia law, election observers are required to stand behind glass.
👉Bourdeaux is asking for a hand recount & normal observation practices of the 20,000 votes that were paper ballots: absentee ballots and provisional ballots.

💥Bourdeaux noted that the absentee ballots were folded in half: & her name was in the crease, which could cause errors.

Florida judge says Rick Scott's legal team presented NO evidence of malfeasance or corruption in the Florida ballot count.

They went to court with zero evidence of what they're publicly alleging to the media & all over social media.
Amazing: Rick Scott's team's argument is that "the public has lost confidence" in the process.

Competence is knowing what to do in a situation and how to do it. It is not the same as excellence.
Excellence is dependent on other people, like judges, examiners, teachers, assessors, inspectors, auditors. But we can't control these people and whether they think we're excellent or not.
