Under state law, there is supposed to be a recount when the margin of victory is less than 1%.
Woodall—139,837
Bourdeaux—138,936
Total votes=278,773
Bourdeaux is asking that the recount take place in a "fair and transparent manner." For one thing, per #Georgia law, election observers are required to stand behind glass.
💥Bourdeaux noted that the absentee ballots were folded in half: & her name was in the crease, which could cause errors.
💥Bourdeaux also noted that the glass that the "observers" have to stand behind is more than 20 feet away from the recount.
👉Her legal team also filed an Open Records Request with Gwinnett County so that they could see the absentee ballots that were transcribed—the ones that were folded right on her name.
Another #Democrat calling for free and fair elections!
