Professor Diesendorf's simple four-step recipe for #fairdinkumpower published by @TheAusInstitute in @renew_economy today

1) Provide additional $4 billion to @ARENA_aus & $2 billion @CEFCAus over 4 yrs to to stimulate dispatchable, flexible, renewable electricity and storage
2) expedite construction of key transmission links between Qld and NSW, SA and NSW, within north-western and western Vic, and within northern NSW to better integrate renewable electricity into the grid;

3) bring forward simple rule changes in #NEM to reward demand response and flexible, fast-response, dispatchable power and to reduce ‘gaming’ of the market by gas-fired generators

The rate of growth of the economy, also known as Gross Domestic Product or GDP, is one of the most important indicators of the health of our country’s economy. Today’s news did not disappoint; over the past year (4 quarters),
our average annual growth rate has been a healthy 2.8 percent.

Thus far in 2018, real GDP is on track for growth of 3.1 percent over the calendar year, which would be the first calendar year of growth over 3 percent since 2005.

Today I want to talk about why the recent indictment of 12 GRU members is the purest baloney. In order to do that, I have to explain some things about computer security and forensics, so you’ll understand why what I claim about the indictment makes sense.
Think of all the computers in the world as one interconnected glob. Any computer in the world can talk to any other computer in the world at any time so long as both computers are on and connected to the internet. The only exception to this is computers with private IP addresses.
There are exceptions. For example, if I can can access on ONE computer on your network, then even if ALL the other computers are on private IP addresses, I can still talk to them using the one I hacked as a gateway. I’ll give you an example.

#Today's story to #EndFamilySeparation Four months ago, Dad and 4-month-old entered at the Texas/Mexico border and requested #asylum. Dad and child were immediately separated and the baby put in ORR custody. #FamiliesBelongTogether
Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation
The Mom and Dad now have once weekly Skype calls with their 8-month-old baby. That's right, folks. They Skype with an infant. #EndFamilySeparation #FamiliesBelongTogether

1/ The expression "Put your foot in" means you cooked something exquisite. Seafood gumbo takes a lot of time and prep to do right. This is a pricey one, but if you ever decide to make it, folks will say you put your foot in.
2/ This is a big gumbo so I cleaned 5 lbs of Shrimp, saving the heads(You need them) and I peeled a few pounds of crawfish, saving the heads(You need them) Most don't live where Crawfish is available, Go to Wal-Mart and get a bag of Louisiana crawfish(Follow directions)
3/Make a stock first, so cut up...5 cloves of garlic, two lemons in halves, a couple stalks of celery, and a quarter to a half of onion. In a pot, put 9 cups of water, the heads of the shrimp and crawfish, the vegetables and lemon. A little creole seasoning, 3 bay leaves.. Boil.
