(cont.) 24/ I also think people should consider that after looking at all of the evidence, MC has decided that it is plausible that BK's very good friend MJ was in fact part of a "gang rape". The part of MC's theory that CBF was the girl seems like quite a stretch though.
/ We can also go back to MC's article I linked to above where MC uses MJ as a character witness for BK, since MJ said that he never saw BK act as CBF claimed. Yet, now MC is telling us she believes that MJ may have lost his virginity in what we now call "gang rape".
/ And who were the guys MC believes may have participated in this "gang rape"? The testimony says "and several other boys from Georgetown Prep" and MC believes the testimony is credible enough to include in an article as possibly true.
/ We can look at BK's own calendar to see who from Georgetown Prep MJ may have generally partied with, along with MJ's own book. I'm not sure that BK even disputes that he and MJ were frequent party buddies.
/ At this point MC's analysis seems a lot like OJ Simpson's lawyers; Throw enough spaghetti at a wall and hope some sticks. If MC was BK's lawyer and dealing with a jury this theory that MJ did in fact engage in a "gang rape" might work, but not sure how it helps BK now.
/ MC has admitted that when she first heard the accusations against BK, she thought they were, "bunk and an attempt at political assassination." She was a BK fan who believed basically the conclusion she has now reached, not some unbiased person just looking for the truth.
/ Going back to MC's article saying that CBF shouldn't even testify, MC ends it by claiming that if CBF gives testimony in person, it will be decimated. After the testimony MC then sets out to decimate it. I wonder how many thought MC went into the testimony with an open mind.
/ Recently MC said that she doesn't know if BK lied, but thinks that he probably didn't. I don't see any way a person could make so many claims against CBF, while thinking BK didn't lie, without applying extreme bias for their "side" for each piece of evidence.
/ I have seen MC show that she is frustrated that people don't just buy her conclusions. Some of us, especially those of us who have noticed falsehoods, may not be willing to just ignore signs of confirmation bias.
/ Here is an article about bias, with a link to research done in Australia.
/ "Both women and men are capable of defending men against credible sexual assault allegations when the accused man is from a valued social in-group. This is what we found in our research into community reactions to allegations of sexual assault."

/ Maybe MC is right that BK did not attack CBF. I don't know. However, when I see what I consider traits of lack of trustworthiness, I take that into account. As people have every right (and responsibility) to do with me if they think I have not been honest.
/ Just please don't tell me you care about the truth, but don't care if Margot has made false or deceptive claims that she refuses to retract and that you are going to just believe MC's conclusions anyway.
/ I have done my best to find the truth and at this point think it is more likely than not that at some point BK was on top of CBF when CBF did not want him there.
/ So far I have not heard a good argument for why CBF would lie and try to get information to Trump before Trump nominated BK. CBF's text messages show that she was discussing this before the nomination and CBF said she was trying to stop the nomination itself.
/ CBF would have known that Trump would just pick a different judge with similar abortion views, so the argument that she was just trying to stop a pro-life judge, before anybody was nominated, doesn't hold water to me.
/ Others say that CBF was doing it for the money. While she did take the GoFundMe money, her lawyers have said she isn't planning to do a book and plans to give any extra money to charity. Here is a report about security costs for somebody else.

/ It is hard to say how much CBF's security costs will be in total with the death threats she is reportedly getting. I think a lot of people assume that CBF would lie for $850k (minus security costs and lack of income), because they would do that.
/ I view it differently. I have seen reports that CBF and her husband have about $4.3 million in real estate, plus their good jobs. I'm guessing there is a reasonable amount of equity, but I don't know that.
/ I think there are many of us who have gotten to financially stable points in our lives where we wouldn't even consider taking millions to lie about somebody, not even counting the death threats.
/ I wouldn't have lied about somebody for money even when I didn't have any, but the prospect of trading a financially comfortable life for even millions of dollars, plus a life of death threats, seems especially ridiculous to me.
/ Some want us to believe that CBF set out to take BK down back in 2012. Many of these same people use variations (even small ones) in CBF's story to discredit her. It seems to me that if she set this in motion in 2012, she would have likely locked down a solid story then.
