Thread: I'm going to say something that might be unpopular. But it needs to be said. We Jews have been around for a really long time. We began when the world still worshipped the stars and parents sacrificed their children to false gods.
Since then, we have kept our faith and morals, our values and convictions. In every generation we were persecuted for them. We bled for them. We died for them.
In most generations we lived by the grace of foreign leaders or host countries. Even when exiled from our Kingdoms of Judea & Israel-- renamed Palestine after our ancient enemies by the Romans who looted our Temple & chained our people, we never forgot Zion- Jerusalem.
For 2,000 years we prayed 3x a day. From Yemen to Argentina, Iran to Poland, Morocco to Russia and Ethiopia, we turned to Jerusalem, the site of Abraham's near sacrifice of Isaac, of Jacob's dream, where Heaven touches Earth and where we gathered together 3x a year for centuries.
After the slaughter of 6,000,000, children women and men, my aunts & uncles included, after centuries of pogroms, rape, humiliations & persecutions, we returned to Zion. The Jews are home and are not going anywhere.
Boycott us, hate us, call us what you will. The Jewish people will give up nearly anything for peace, but we will never be homeless again. While we would rather live in peace with you, we will never submit again, The "good" victim Jew is gone. Zion is the hill we die on. /end
