Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, "Common Sense", who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, "Common Sense", who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- And maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). But look at our debt profile and blatant breach of the social contract and weep for the generations to come.
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. The custodians (Police, Army etc) have failed in their purpose and have turned the guns of the State against the very same people they ought to protect.
Reports of honest men being persecuted for speaking the truth; teens suspended from school for refusing to play along with the massive indoctrination in the expensive assembly-line literacy program we call education; and teachers at the mercy of draconian politicians.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when education got deliberately defunded and poverty weaponized making hounds of Hell of regular people who once project on their future. Today, people have been debased to their primal state seeking only to survive through the day.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches & religious institutions became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Governors rob their state blind with heists & grafts and receives award to commemorate this.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't hold your leaders to account without youthful amoral griots, cultured on the crumbs from bloodletting, tagging you with unprintable names in their widely proliferated identity politics of hate (Populism).
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after those that promised Heaven delivered Hell, and still found means to grandstand after many sorrows, tears & blood enough to declare a deeper level to oppression and tribulation.
Common Sense was preceded in death,
-by his parents, Truth and Trust,
-by his wife, Discretion,
-by his daughter, Responsibility,
-and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his stepbrothers & Step Sisters;

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
