Talk about burying the lede. "While they noted that Republican voters were SIGNIFICANTLY more authoritarian than Democrats, the VARIATION in authoritarianism was also significantly higher between Democrats than between Republicans."
Alternate headline: "Republicans are significantly more inclined toward authoritarianism than Democrats, but we would like our conservative readers to think that Hillary voters (not our readers) are the real tyrannical threat to liberty in America today."
Here's the operative paragraph. This is just so shamelessly duplicitous while being technically accurate. You almost have to marvel at the rhetorical pyrotechnics of which these folks are capable. 
Put another way...all conservatives are pretty much agreed that authoritarianism is cool, but the Democrats disagree amongst each other about that.
