Now here's where the case gets made. You're the "stupid" person being questioned, who was just put up as a front to sign papers. Do you lie? Or do you tell the truth? If you're genuinely stupid, you truthfully bare all. But if you knew you were helping crimes, you lie.
And they catch you. Right there. They whip out the documents. Because they already know. That's why they're asking. When you try to cover up what you did, you demonstrate criminal guilt and criminal knowledge, and can never go back to "innocent stooge."
Now back to Pence. Pence has lied plenty. You can google it. But do we have public info (I stress that) on Pence lying about element central enough to Russian conspiracy that it is evidence he knowingly agreed to help a crime. Nope. Still nope. Not with pub info I see.
