1/3 Senator Hatch says it the most clearly - I don’t care if he’s breaking the law, he’s a “good President,” which is what they’re all implying. Let’s play that one out for a moment, shall we?
2/2 Sinaloa Cartel leader El Chapo, currently on trial in NY, made 100s of millions of $ trafficking drugs & ordered countless murders. But, thanks to Senator Hatch, he has a new defense: his partners say he was a really good cartel leader, so his crimes shouldn’t matter.
3/3 This is why we have a rule of law. In our country, no one is above it. There is no “he’s a good president“ defense. I hope that at the end, we’ll find out what happened to GOP Senators who used to believed in the Constitution, but seem to have abandoned it for Trump.
