I am convinced there is absolutely nothing the federal government or the provincial government can do to make some noisy Albertans happy. Is it any wonder that Canadians in general, and many Albertans, see yellow jackets, UCP, etc as behaving like spoiled brats? #ableg
It becomes clear that the only thing that matters to some Albertans is to have the CPC and the UCP in power. At the end of the day, it's nothing to do with the price of oil, or pipelines, or equalization payments. It's sour grapes over not having far right parties in power.
Fortunately, most Canadians, and an increasing number of Albertans, are recognizing the blatant lying, fear-mongering, hyperbole, cheating, fact-denial, and self-serving corruption of the right wing parties these days. #cdnpoli
If you are one of those people who can only be happy when authoritarian, xenophobic, misogynistic, homophobic parties are in power, and you are willing to turn a blind eye to election rigging, lying, fund-raising on human suffering....
If it's ok with you to see programs to support the most vulnerable in society cut, if you are ok with removing worker and consumer protections, if you don't care about the environment, if you only care about low taxes, prosecuting migrants, controlling women....
If you are alright with women dying from back-alley abortions, LGBTQ+ kids killing themselves, people of colour being assaulted, hate speech, violent responses to minor offenses, then you should be very comfortable with the UCP and CPC.
But take a good look at what's going on in Ontario. That's the future for Alberta under a Kenney-led UCP, or all of Canada under a Scheer-led CPC. Get ready for private health care and every man for himself. Good luck. #cdnpoli

No Canadian provincial Government has switched to for profit health care as of now. But some have opened the door to some for profit. The US insurance industry is itching to get into Canadian markets. I bet they would donate a lot to any premier that opened the door...
Ford is inching towards private, for-profit health care in Ontario. Ford's Ontario is the litmus test of what a 2018 "conservative" government would do. So, if you have a burning desire to have "conservative" governments, make sure you understand what you're wishing for. #abpoli
