Me : Co-evolution of practice is inevitable. As for name, a temporary nickname until something better. I used it in a conference years ago, it needs replacing. For background try "Why the fuss about serverless" - hackernoon.com/why-the-fuss-a…
Me : Go talk to @simalexan. He is currently building that future, on top of serverless. Leave the containers in the dungeon with the other instruments of medieval torture.
Me : No. I use it for nation state competition. Others use it to save lives (talk to @GoAgileGov), in the arena of Gov policy (talk to @JuliePierce77) or change the future of law (talk to @mengwong) ... maps are far from an IT thing.
Me : Any industry that is supposed to talk about strategy but ignores situational awareness and context is snake oil / alchemy. Fortunately, there are some good folk out there - see Cynefin and @snowded
Me : I'm not. I do get frustrated sometimes but 13 years of watching endless companies walk off a cliff guided by some epic story written by a strategy consultancy whilst you're shouting "look at the frigging landscape" does tend to do that to you.
Me : Your time. Start your journey here - medium.com/wardleymaps - and just add practices. Years of practice.
Me : Lots of people. Follow @adrianco, @JuliePierce77, @GoAgileGov, @BenMosior, @Rachel0404 ... there's a long list of people experienced with maps. Give yourself five years of practice. If you want to find a real strategy guru, find @jamesaduncan
