BREAKING: Somalia has executed an Al-Shabaab serial bomber who was involved in at least three attacks which killed a total of 26 people last year. Abdulkadir Abukar Shaa’ir, 41, was executed this morning after being convicted for the crimes earlier this month.
Shaa’ir was convicted of conducting pre-bombing surveillance, delivering explosive-laden cars.

Abdulkadir Abukar Shaa’ir was not a normal serial bomber. Most of Al-Shabaab bombers are teenagers or people in their early 20s, he was 41. He was also a carpenter with a degree from a university. He had a third job, apart from being a bomber and a carpenter - circumcising boys.
