Somalia parliamentary committee on finances alleges mismanagement of funds at the Ministry of Finance and Mogadishu regional administration. In a new report, the Committee says millions of dollars are unaccounted, and there is no proper documentation of expenses.
The Committee reports that $20 million which was part of $50 million budgetary support from KSA in 2017 has not been accounted. They urge the Ministry of Finance to give a full report about whereabouts of this money. The Committee says this money has not been added to 2018 budget

Meanwhile, the Committee reports that Mogadishu admin received $16.5 million b/w January - June 2018, all was spent, and no supporting documents for most expenses; alleges widespread misappropriation of funds. The Committee says the Admin does not have plan for annual expenditure
