I love when writers call back to the last scene in Batman: Year One, where maybe Gordon really is blind without his glasses or maybe he knows Batman is Bruce Wayne and just chooses to never mention it out of respect and gratitude.

*Sigh* And then Shondra Kinsolving deus ex machinas Bruce’s back back together and regresses to a child-like state for no reason other than that the writers were done with their plot device and also Bruce had decided he loved her and all his relationship have to end the same way.
