Recommendations for 2019. Pay close attention:
1. Finances: stay around 75% liquid. Use a savings deposit. Big mutual funds will be taking a big hit.
2. SAVE money wherever possible. We're nearing the end of a bull cycle. The bear market will hit hard. Look to capitalize on the misfortune of others. Don't be a sucker.
3. People will turn to crypto once again toward the end of 2019 after losing confidence in the mainstream market. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, but put some of your income toward Bitcion.
4. Build your network. There are tough times ahead, so keep people close to you. Don't "leave person x in 2018" like others suggest. Keep friendships and family close. Think very carefully before dropping someone. You don't have to like everyone on your team.
5. RELATIONSHIPS: Keep in mind, you can always say something, but you can never unsay something.

Most of the problems we have can be avoided using restraint. Play the long game. Your network doesn't have to know exactly how you feel about them.
6. JOB/WORKPLACE: In 2019, avoid being the best employee if seeking a promotion. Strive to be #2.

Tallest blade of grass will be the first to get cut. It's the reality in a competitive system.
7. Worked to be liked without being a doormat. When hard times come, decision makers surround themselves with people they like on a personal basis rather than competence.
8. Suppress the urge to regularly correct your peers/superiors. You're not teaching anyone anything and you'll be resented for it. When asked for advice from peers, give neutral answers.
9. EDUCATION. Same as usual. Avoid doing what you like and go for stability. Focus on math even if its not "your thing". There are 0 intelligent people who can't do math. If you're intelligent, it's simply a matter of effort.
10. LIFE: Start your day 4 hours before your first appointment. Use the time to plan your day/week.

Spend 15-30 minutes meditating and follow the guidelines to a tee. It actually works.

Do your gym workout in the morning.

Meditate again on your break or at lunch (15min)
11. Don't let others determine your mood/thoughts. Meditate enough and you'll realise you're completely in control of what you think. While you obsess about a person, they usually haven't given you a second thought.
12. Keep a notebook handy in tense/important conversations, phone calls, etc. Take notes as people are talking to you.

It forces them to keep their word and makes them take you seriously.
13. Develop a system that allows you to store reminders/facts/events/details that aren't immediately necessary. Your brain has limited bandwidth, don't waste it on random information. Build an "external brain" using cloud services.
14. Learn how to be a good learner. The most intelligent people aren't the most informed. They simply know how to inform themselves better than the rest.
15. Be an excellent listener. Wait for people to finish their thought even if you already know what they're about to say. Time your response properly. Do not interrupt colleagues/superiors.

Currently a big problem among young people.
That's it for now. I'm sure many of you have already heard these, but if even one of them got you thinking, it was worth it. Cheers.
