Startup Conferences:

Why do founders attend these startup conferences, across the globe? What outcomes that they want to get out of such conferences? Just saying "networking" is too broad.

Love to hear from other founders, whether the list below reflects their reasons:
1. Founders at the idea stage or early in their journey:

A place to discuss your ideas and challenges with other founders. The goal is to explore what resonates and what doesn’t with others who are in a similar boat, before jumping.
2. Founders close to product-market fit:

They want to hear from the successful founders about their journey, the ups, and downs, things that worked and failed. Basically, looking for some takeaways from the journey talks and also networking with other successful founders.
3. Founders in a good state of mind with their startups:

You want to hang out with friends. You go to the conference based on who else is coming. Also, share info about who is doing well, who are struggling and get the pulse of the ecosystem. Basically, a break from the routine.
4. Founders with a massive desire to do better:

Attend pre-conference workshops on specific topics and try to find answers to the questions that are bothering.
5. Ready to fundraise:

Connect with influencers, ecosystem players, and investors and get the pulse of the market, investment mood and setting up follow-up meetings.
I always thought that the only way to get some value for founders at a conference is to do workshops customized and contextualized to a small group of founders. But, I do see a lot of conferences still running without any workshops. What do you guys think?
