In Obduskey v. McCarthy & Holthus, SCOTUS will decide whether the protections of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) covers nonjudicial foreclosure proceedings. These proceedings (w/o a court or judge) result in foreclosure more often than court proceedings.
