DO NOT make your twitter timeline all about marketing for your company
AND
DO NOT make your twitter timeline all about your personal life or just tweeting back and forth with your friends/admirers

As a devrel professional this will not go well. I DO think you should have *some* company and personal content on your timeline. It helps to make clear who you work for, things you are proud of at your company, and that you are a real human. 3/x

If your timeline is just tweets from your company then might as well just make that into a corporate twitter account and leave yourself out of it. Don't be the shill, nobody appreciates a shill

If your timeline is all just personal and memes and such then just have a personal account that doesn't identy you as devrel and company related. Actually best to say "this is just my personal stuff, for technical stuff go <here>"

If you are not sharing/pointing your readers to a healthy share of technical content AND making their lives better then should it really be a #devrel identified account.

As an exercise, look at your twitter content and think of it as a blog.

Most of the company content should come from the work you produce that you are sharing.

If you identify your twitter account as a devrel account - be sure to include a healthy dose of technical content in addition to the occasional personal and company content.
