There is something terribly wrong with a country that’s preparing for shortages in peacetime thanks to something it’s government, Brexiteers and lexiters between them are railroading it into.
All on the basis of a dodgy referendum result based on promises we now know can’t be kept
We know #VoteLeaveBrokeTheLaw yet government have done nothing to pause and examine what that means for the validity of the tiny margin on which we are now turning away from the largest trading bloc in the world

It’s time to take the red pill. We are throwing away our place in the EU for absolutely nothing. Even Mays deal will involve us negotiating and talking about brexit for 20 years and rebuilding towards what we already have now.
instead of building on what we have now and fixing some fundamental problems with inequality in partnership with our EU friends

So No-Deal planning became very real to us this morning. We have to consider seriously where to put our stock and whether to get extra ? Do we move extra stock into the EU in anticipation of customs disruption on the 29th March?
This has significant costs attached, money tied up in over stocking has to come from somewhere and reduces cash available for other activities such as marketing.
It also costs us in terms of warehouse space and extra shipping costs so eating into margins which all feeds into reducing growth, real increases in wages and new jobs all come from growth

I am glad to see that finally the penny is dropping amongst politicians that a leave vote has led to the wholesale removal of rights and made people unequal. #The5Million are at the sharp end but we are all losing something very valuable.
What we are losing is the trust and confidence of people who are a part of our communities who are now being told to ask for permission to continue living amongst us. This issue must be kept in the open. I don’t believe soft leavers realised this would be the consequence
Of their vote so we have to keep giving them an understanding of the issues. A #PeoplesVOTE will allow us to fully explore the consequences on not just EU citizens in the UK currently but what it means for British citizens in the future as their own rights to FOM is removed.

What I want for Christmas is my life back, without worrying what’s going to happen to people I care about after the 29th March, without thinking about the next letter to write, without poring over articles explaining overseas trade or FTAs or no deal planning,
without having to read ridiculous proclamations from trolls and bots. I want to read a book for pleasure and watch a stupid celeb type tv programme and actually not wonder how people can obsess about its inanity whilst the far right is rising and companies are getting
ready to quietly move jobs into the EU27 away from the UK, and small companies are quietly considering whether they will be viable as a third country outside the SM and CU. I want to watch a news program ans consider the facts without screaming at the

Government has declared “situation of extreme urgency exists in context of UK-EU roll-on-roll-off ferry capacity by virtue of the UK leaving the EU on 29.3.2019 and the prospect that this exit may be on a no-deal basis” in the documents re its purchase of £108m of ferry services
“Extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable for the contracting authority and in accordance with the strict conditions stated in the Directive” - says Department of Transport about events exactly foreseen by industry - this tho about not complying with eu directive
Two things - Government has declared that No Deal Brexit is an unforseeable “extreme urgency” perhaps because it is one, but also if a Government does not publish contract in the Official Journal of EU, that is one of the only reasons under UK & EU law’s Public Services Directive

This one you can actually buy, despite looking like a retrofuristic concept, so long as you have a very large amount of cash. It's the Mercedes Maybach Vision which is one of the weirdest cars I've ever seen - there's basically nothing in that enormous bonnet and it's 2.2m long

Thanks, @mariabustillos. The photo is to illustrate something I talk about in the introduction. It's EveryFace, from Everywhere. It's my accent, not my face, that tells people I'm foreign. Otherwise, no one guesses that I'm not from these parts, wherever they are.
And this is true across a surprisingly wide geographic range. My face blurrs into the background pretty much everywhere except sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.
Otherwise, it's only when I start talking that people say, "Where are you from?" So if I were to lose my accent,
I'd be in very bizarre emotional territory, because there's a payoff to being an outsider. My accent is my all-purpose excuse, Special pleading for being weird. If I have an accent and do something strange If I didn't have that accent, I'd be expected to conform---
