For those unfamiliar, VDare is a white supremacist, anti-immigration website. Ann Coulter is one of their more "moderate" contributors...so that tells you something.

Worth noting that James Edwards and Jared Taylor, two exceptionally racist contributors to VDare, had VIP tickets to Trump's inauguration and sat in the front row. Here's their account of the experience. This has all been in plain sight since 2016. amren.com/commentary/201…
Also worth flashing back to August 2018 when we learned that Ian Hill, a contributor to VDare and other white nationalist outlets, was a Trump staffer at the Dept of Homeland Security until he was exposed.

Re-upping this in light of recent revelations. A full 18 months before Trump announced he was running for President, an advisor to the Minister for Economic Development in Russia was tweeting about a possible Trump presidency. Perhaps just idle chat amongst business associates.
She was in the news back in February 2018, that's when I stumbled across this tweet. Interestingly, this English language account, which had been very active, went largely dormant after mid-February. She also now has 150K fewer followers.
She's still a big fan of Putin, unsurprisingly given that she works for his ministry of economic development. And she's also excited about resetting the US/Russian relationship along lines articulated in Helsinki.

Can we all just take a minute to LOL at Federalist 68?
While we're at it, might as well LOL at Federalist 71 as well. This is the part where Hamilton says the peoples' representatives might sometimes do stupid things, but it's ok, Presidents and Senators will be wise men who will carry us through the dangerous, populist storm.
The irony, of course, is that to the extent politicians these days are doing the part I highlighted, it's Democrats. Conservatives love to cite The Federalist Papers as political scripture...how ironic if it's the President produced by their movement that breaks the constitution.

Johnson also made a famous appearance a few years back flashing the ok hand gesture with Putin's favorite (now unemployed) congressman, Dana Rohrbacher. Big Assange fans these fellas.

Just a reminder that to these knobs, a movement based in equality feels like a war on them personally.

I mean, how are you gonna reason with that kind of delusion?
Important reminder that this is not organic outrage either. It’s coordinated, it’s organized, and it touches on so many issues. The negative response to this isn’t just “some people don’t like it”, it goes through a whole range of right wing conspiracy theories.
It goes like this:

Gillette ad mentions sexual harassment and toxic masculinity -> those words are used by “the left” -> if you’re not on “the left”, retaliate.

This is the political polarization part.

The first item I’d like to point out, is that a better term we should use would be undocumented immigrant. “Illegal alien” creates and perpetuates the stigma that these people are inherently bad, or criminal. The reality is that they are just seeking a better life.
Probably the biggest misunderstanding is that everyone should simply just immigrate legally, when in reality there’s nothing simple about it. There are very specific and restrictive criteria one must meet in order to immigrate to the U.S. legally.

Good morning, everyone. I'd like to share a few personal stories about why people of color bristle at folks who show sympathy (just a little bit) to racists. I won't be naming names as it is not necessary and I want this to be constructive.

I hope we can all learn from this.
Most of you know I travel to eastern Europe often and I have lived in the region for more than 4 years, with Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and other ex-Soviet states being my main stumping grounds. I have also met a lot of immigrants from there who have moved here.
As a black American who travels to eastern Europe often and writes about race for a living, I can tell you that, for example, Jewish people, do indeed have a unique story of escaping totalitarian regimes that tolerate anti-semitism and seek better lives here in the US.

Who is this "we"? None of the antifascist academics I've been working with in the public forum that is Twitter are shying away from any of Goldy's ideas. If anything, we've been bringing them to light, complete with critical commentary. 3/

Border Wall (no surprise there); Gutting the bipartisan laws w/protect unaccompanied kids so they can be deported back to horrific violence;
gutting the asylum law so that refugees can be sent back to persecution and torture; gutting due process to speed up deportation
