NEW: In a mostly-redacted filing, Mueller lays out proof that Paul Manafort lied to investigators while 'cooperating' – including that Rick Gates told FBI agents that Manafort was trying to use intermediaries to get people jobs in the Trump admin.

Rick Gates stated to investigators that in Jan 2017 Manafort told Gates he was using intermediaries, "including [REDACTED]," to get people jobs in the Trump administration.

One of those intermediaries was JARED KUSHNER – per this Nov 30, 2016 email: "On it!"

During the transition and after reporting that Manafort was under FBI scrutiny, Jared Kushner remained in contact with Manafort, replying to his emails about Trump admin appointee recommendations – communications Manafort lied about to the FBI.

After his Jul 2017 meeting with Putin, Trump called a Times reporter from Air Force One and argued that the Russians were falsely accused of election interference [same flight on which he dictated the false statement re 2016 Trump Tower meeting].

Trump defended Russia, saying Putin told him that “if we did [interfere], we wouldn’t have gotten caught because we’re professionals,” which Trump thought that was a good point “because they are some of the best in the world” at hacking. JFC.

This first count #Manafort admits to is violation of 18 USC § 371, "Conspiracy Against the United States."

What does that mean? He conspired to commit a crime against the US or to defraud the US:
A conspiracy, definitionally, requires more than one conspirator. Who did Manafort conspire with? The first paragraph dealing with Count 1 names Richard Gates and Konstantin Kilimnik "and others"
