William Barr’s confirmation as AJ is out of our hands. Dems don’t have the votes to stop it, and judging by Barr’s smug answers to the Judiciary Cmte today, he knows it.

We will see the Mueller report, however, even if Dems put him in front of a special cmte and rewrite it. 👍
Barr made it clear that he would not promise to recuse himself, and that he would ignore the recommendations of ethics officials if he disagreed with them.

No surprise. There is no nominee Trump would make that wouldn’t give those answers.

TRUMP IS A RUSSIAN ASSET.

He consistently sides w/ Russian interests above American, regurgitates Russian propaganda from Russian sources, & obstructs every effort to investigate.

He’s keeping records of private meetings with Putin from his own admin.

What’s it going to take?
The Pres has no right to private conversation with a foreign official. He must, by necessity, have a classified conversation, but he speaks ON BEHALF of the people.

The people must have the assurance of a check on him from the cabinet, intel apparatus, and co-equal branches.
Dems mull subpoenas compelling interpreters present at private meetings between Trump and Putin to testify before Congress. Trump has reportedly ordered their silence, and confiscated their notes.

They should also subpoena Rex Tillerson.

Steve Mnuchin was unable to explain to Congress why Trump plans to lift sanctions on Oleg Deripaska, who attacked US elections in 2016.

Pelosi said it was one of the worst briefings they’ve received from the admin.

Steve says we should trust the Pres.

If Donald cared about the safety of women and children immigrants at the boarder, he would admit them as asylum seekers.

If he cared about security, he’d open the Gov, refund airport security and allow the coast guard to get paid.

Trump makes America worse.

FACT: Border crossing is at a 40 year low, most undocumented immigrants come by plane.
FACT: Disingenuous compassion is gross.
FACT: Immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than natural born Americans.
FACT: Those currently held at the border are asylum seekers fleeing violence that America helped cause through our drug consumption and foreign policy.

America has a moral duty to help these people.

.@HallieJackson @maddow on #Mueller report. I distinctly recall OSC said report was to be limited to obstruction. Obstruction was clear but what I think is coming & US AG has no say: NY State computer fraud, kidnapping & money laundering charges.

IMO Mueller charges treason.
I had noticed an artifact in both Russian related Mueller cases. The Russian Defendants viewed their actions as making war on US. If defendants agreed to that conspiracy, IMO, they violated the first clause of 18 USC 2381: "levies war against [the United States]."
To make a case I'd want evidence Trump & crew knew that was Russians' goal. Perhaps intercepts will prove Trump knew it. If so @Trump will face impeachment on treason charges plus 32 states have treason statutes. @realDonaldTrump needs to cut a deal for immunity & resign. Soon.
