In a few hours I’m going to take-off ✈️ and head towards Singapore 🇸🇬 to attend @iosconfsg on behalf of @worldlinexpert 🤩
I plan on sharing pics 📸 and video 🎥 updates the whole time I’m away!

First step of the trip: let’s ride the (very expensive 😱) shuttle, heading to the airport!

Now since I won’t realistically get any food on the plane before 11pm, I’m going to stack up energy on some good old junk food 🍔🥤

My first flight, from LYON (LYS) to Frankfurt (FRA), is getting near to takeoff 🛫
I got lucky, none of my flights were impacted by the on going strikes in German airports 🍀

And it’s goodbye Lyon, see you again in a few days 👋

There’s a McDonald’s just next to the gate for my next flight. Ain’t this what we call destiny 🤔

Time to enjoy some « Premium Mediocre » food before the next flight ✈️

TIL at German McDonald’s, the drinks are only 0.4L, and not 0.5L like in France. How different our cultures are!

Time for boarding the enormous Airbus A380, see you tomorrow dear Internet 😘

Looks like I’ll have an extra empty seat next to mine. Ain’t life the sweetest?

I’ve made it safe and sound to Singapore 🇸🇬
Next step is heading to the hotel and getting some much needed sleep 😴

Outside temperature is 27 degrees Celsius and it’s raining like crazy ☔️
I’m definitely not in Europe anymore!

The hotel room is pretty sweet 🤩

Time for a little rehearsing, before going to bed!

So I did manage to get a full night of sleep, but I guess you can see that I’m still fairly tired 😴

This first day of conference went really well, lots of interesting talks and nice people to talk to 😊
I think I might have gone a bit too fast over some parts of my talk, I guess I'll know for sure when they release the video 🤔

Now I’m getting ready for tomorrow’s talk, which will be significantly longer, so it’ll be much easier for me to take things more slowly 👍

That’s it, both talks have been delivered!
Maybe now would be a good time to get some sleep? 😴

So I actually didn’t go sleep!
Instead I followed the good advice of @twostraws and I went to check out the Night Safari zoo!

It’s an open-air zoo, and the main attraction is a tour that drives you trough an artificial jungle where you can see the animals from a very close distance.
To give an idea, here are some pictures of it I found on the Internet.

Now there’s actually a fairly sized ditch between you and the dangerous animals, but they make it so that you don’t really see it.
So it feels kind of weird when you pass in front of a pack of hyenas that are staring at you, and there’s no physical obstacle in sight 😱

Before leaving the hotel, I went to check out its sky deck.
The view there is really cool, so different than what I’m used to!

I made it back to the airport!
Now, my flight doesn’t start boarding until 11:15pm – so that’s a long wait ahead of me!
But I’m so tired that I really couldn’t find the energy to go sightseeing anyways 😄
@NetflixFR and @Starbucks, I’m now relying on both of you to entertain me!

Looks like I won’t get the nice and big A380 for the trip back home 😭

On the good advice of @ChristofLaudon, I’ve just finished watching this show. It’s such a pleasure to finally see a good production based on the DC Universe!

On a side note, I bought this power bank from Belkin for the trip. Really great product, I used it a lot to charge my phone, and it never fell below 50% of its charge 👍

Since I didn’t really enjoy the meals they served on the plane, I’m going to stack up on food before boarding 🍔
Nice option here: you can replace the soda in the menu with a hot beverage! Now that’s something I’d like to see in France 🇫🇷

Just boarded my ride back to Europe 🇪🇺
I’ve got this gorgeous empty seat just next to me. Really hoping it stays empty and I get to know it better 😍

There’s some nice movies available during the flight! 🍿

Just landed in Munich, and I’m on time for my connecting flight to Lyon 😃

Final verdict: the A350 definetly felt noisier. But with the Bose stuff, it wasn’t really any inconvenience 👌

And now just landed in Lyon!

Oh boy, it’s like 2 degrees Celsius here, I’m freezing 🥶

And this is it, I’m back home! 🏠
