Two screen shots from the BuzzFeed article are the heart of the matter. SCO's statement last night is challenging some, or all, of this. 
It boils down to whether SCO has *any* evidence, either from documents and witnesses other than Cohen or from Cohen himself, of an explicit 'directive' from Trump to Cohen. On these key questions, core to the BuzzFeed story, BuzzFeed is under direct challenge.
To be clear, BuzzFeed's sources told it that Mueller has evidence of Trump's explicit 'directive' to Cohen *independent of Cohen.* Cohen was supposed to have confirmed its truth after being shown that evidence. Both elements of this are now in doubt.
