More than two years in, we're just going to keep pretending that wearing a MAGA hat is simply a non-racialized choice to voice support of the U.S. president, and not about making a very explicit statement about one's racial views? Ok.
Oh, that's right -- and the Confederate flag is about heritage not hate. My bad.
If I know something is associated with a certain thing or viewpoint, and I do not hold that viewpoint, I do not wear that item. This is not a controversial understanding.
It goes back to the convos last week about journalists being unable to call something racist because racist is treated as an insult or being abt someone's "heart," not as an adjective. We have actual defs of racist -- and saying you are a white nationalist is pretty cut/dry.
