1/5 Great first meeting of the new workforce implementation steering group this morning. I felt positive and optimistic at the end & strongly committed to do all that I and @NHSProviders can to make this important process work. Good start. Thread of four things I liked follows.
2/5 Great first NHS workforce implementation steering group meeting. I liked the honesty - about the scale of challenge; short time available to do the work; & that, having tried to get national NHS workforce strategy right several times before, we HAVE to get it right this time.
3/5 Great first NHS workforce implementation steering group meeting. I liked the inclusivity. All key organisations around table, treated as full co-creators right from start...not stakeholders to be managed to get their sign up to something being created behind ALB bike sheds.
4/5 Great first NHS workforce implementation steering group meeting. I liked the clarity on what we are trying to achieve and how we will run the process....and the emphasis on the best way for lots of different people and organisations to work together to achieve that.
5/5 Great first NHS workforce implementation steering group meeting. I liked the leadership on display - great "non NHS" chairing from @didoharding & purposeful process leadership from @julianhartley1 who also made us all laugh. Happy to elaborate if any interest!
