@DhhsNevada @sandra4nv Enhanced mobile crisis outreach is a successful intervention technique. Whitley states this helps law enforcement and prevents involvement in criminal justice system.

@DhhsNevada @sandra4nv @GovSisolak @reviewjournal Whitley - Jails are required to provide health services including #Mentalhealth. Healthcare system is not connected to this discharge. DHHS is working with places like Northern NV HOPES to ensure safe/stable discharge. We need connected healthcare and a seamless system
@DhhsNevada @sandra4nv @GovSisolak @reviewjournal Follow up from Neal - regarding problem gambling, is there any crossover between problem gambling and homelessness and are there services there?
@DhhsNevada @sandra4nv @GovSisolak @reviewjournal Whitley - there's not a lot of data in gambling unless there is a criminal aspect like embezzlement. We are working on prevention and working with @unlv gambling addiction specialists. We're in the first stages of this for the data side.
@DhhsNevada @sandra4nv @GovSisolak @reviewjournal @unlv Question from Assem. Dr. Titus - on Access to Care, how are we expanding access to not only entry level care but also specialists?

Whitley - It's important to quantify specialty providers but developing more community plans is key. Using data at community level for services.
@DhhsNevada @sandra4nv @GovSisolak @reviewjournal @unlv Assem Titus - we need to help people follow through on getting care and navigating this system especially those released from jails/prisons so they can make their own choices.
@DhhsNevada @sandra4nv @GovSisolak @reviewjournal @unlv Senator @Ben_Kieckhefer asks how money will get to problem gambling, specific carve out?
