Jeremy Corbyn is playing dangerous games - both by refusing to meet with May to discuss Brexit, and by refusing to promote EEA membership for the UK, instead saying "a close single market relationship" which is unhelpfully vague.
But the opposition aren't much better. The ERG knuckledraggers like germanophobic faux-wideboy Mark Francois are acting like caricatures of themselves. Spitting image puppets brought to life.
How can we as a nation have allowed our Parliament to be filled with so much dross? /End

Countries in the EU will of course take steps to mitigate the damage of No-Deal, but these measures will be bare-bones and in many cases time limited. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…
2/ the problem is that MPs in thrall to the ERG will take this to mean that A: PM is right not to take No-Deal off the table B: wto/No-Deal is nothing to be scared of.
3/ make no mistake, the EU don't want the transition from UK being a EU member to a third country to be painful and disruptive *for them* so they will put buffer measures in place. But these will be designed to benefit EU companies and citizens and be easily revokable.

1/ "Whose Brexit vision is better?" we are sometimes asked - Labour's or the Conservatives? As a cross party organisation we try not to take sides, but we will try to answer as clearly as possible. #brexit
2/ The main problem with the Conservative Brexit approach is their strict, unyielding; some might say fanatical adherence to their red lines. This is probably because they see brexit as a zero-sum game, where the object of the game is to beat the other player.
3/ The Labour Party have fewer red lines, which should in theory mean it would be easier for them to negotiate a good deal, - but they have picked the wrong main redline - the CUSTOMS UNION. They mistakenly think that a customs union is a panacea.

#FLAG: I'm convinced, Rick Gates is a critical witness to #Collusion/Conspiracy.

He was involved in handing over Trump campaign polling data to Konstantin Kilimnik, along w/ Manafort.

But late in the campaign when data would be most critical, Manafort wasn't around.

Gates was.
#FLAG: Not to mention, Gates worked on the Inauguration.

We know foreign money — specifically from a pro-Russia Ukrainian oligarch — made its way into the huge inaugural fund...that was admitted to in a guilty plea by Sam Patten.

I bet Gates knows more.
#MORE: Here's more on Gates also working with Manafort to share Trump Campaign polling data with Konstantin Kilimnik, who has ties to Russian Intelligence.

This received remarkably less press than it should have...as usual when it comes to Gates coverage.

A Smart Contract Thread: I did a fair amount of research on smart contracts for a presentation that got canceled. Here are a few things that stood out.
I’ll stick to three of them: 1) Smart contracts and blockchains aren’t inextricably linked; 2) We’re pretty much ignoring an extremely important requirement for smart contracts; and 3) Smart contracts are way older than most people think.
First, there’s really nothing fundamental linking blockchains and smart contracts. The smart contract principles laid down by Nick Szabo came out in 1994, and were refined in 1996, more than a decade before the launch of bitcoin.

💡? The frustration and outright opposition I've felt and experienced here in the past 6 years seems to possibly make more sense now, and it's never just about me.

It always seems to be about what groups of people go through. I'm sure it'll be used later somehow.
There was still classic "I swear this only happens to me" sort of shit (there always will be). But starting from understanding a little bit of what my parents went through immigrating here to just getting tossed around this town a rag doll as money went up and down...it's a LOT.
I'm still like: I came down here to write a book and to be warm...and then all this other stuff happened-- which was basically seeing how America really is.

I didn't think I was drunk, or even tipsy, on American optimism, but I am stone cold sober now.
