Countries in the EU will of course take steps to mitigate the damage of No-Deal, but these measures will be bare-bones and in many cases time limited. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…
2/ the problem is that MPs in thrall to the ERG will take this to mean that A: PM is right not to take No-Deal off the table B: wto/No-Deal is nothing to be scared of.
3/ make no mistake, the EU don't want the transition from UK being a EU member to a third country to be painful and disruptive *for them* so they will put buffer measures in place. But these will be designed to benefit EU companies and citizens and be easily revokable.
4/ PM should now wrong-foot Jeremy Corbyn by taking no deal off the table, then pressing for crossparty talks leading to efta/EEA and no long-term customs union. /End.
